1836 Teacher Request

" We the inhabitants of Perry Cove and Marshalls Folly are agreeable to Mr.William Loader of Carbonear should come and educate our children and in consideration we will build him a school house in the spring for which we has signed our respective names this 15 August 1836. We the undersigned agree to pay the teacher appointed by the Board of Education for this District an annual contribution towards his support and also the usual quantity of firewood for each child."
